I wasn’t expecting these lens add-ons to be a direct replacement for a 12mm Nikon lens or a 200mm Sigma, but overall I was left a bit disappointed with these.
They arrived promptly, and they look and feel superb. Value for money wise, they are very good. Very heavy with a large glass and metal-body content. Covers both ends, and a little bag to keep them in. So far so good.
However, the end results are the photos. The wide angle does a fine job indoors and if this all you’re looking for, then go for it. Outdoors though, the lens kit shows its weakness clearly. when looking at the photos taken on a PC screen, the centre circle (let’s say 70% of the overall area of the photo) is not bad. It isn’t crystal clear, but it’s reasonable. However, the outer edges are a disaster. Blurred images, colours badly defined. Detail in trees seems as though you’re looking through two lens pointing in different places and one of which is out of focus.
You get what you pay for I guess!!
