First one stopped working after a few days but the manufacturer sent me a replacement straight away.
The sound is a great improvement over TV only (used with a Sharp 42 inch LCD set) especially Bass and vocal tones.
The main missing feature is an optical input as the newer slimline TVs from Samsung only have optical sound outputs.
I really bought this to go with my 32 inch Samsung (which has awful sound) but it has ended up under my 42 inch instead.

I did not want lots of speakers and huge sub woofers, wireless or otherwise. This unit is incredibly neat and fitted perfectly underneath my 42″ LCD TV.
I did not expect true surround sound and in fairness most purists would dismiss the virtual surround sound as a poor imitation of the real thing. However if like me you only require a very economical solution to the puny sound generated by your TV then the SSB-1 is an ideal product.
The bass is true and does not distort at high volume and the unit also provides the user with a genuine array of alternative sounds which will suit most tastes.
All in all a great all rounder at an excellent price. Just don’t expect true surround sound.
