I recently purchased this camera for my son, as his first ‘proper’ digital camera and we’ve been very happy with it. The bundle here (with case and rechargeable batteries) gives you almost everything you need to get started – you will need to invest in an SD card too.
The screen is bright and clear and the quality of the resulting pictures is more than good enough for displaying on computers or digital picture frames and for making prints. Physically, the unit is compact and pretty light-weight, so easy to take with you.
The 3x zoom is perhaps the most limiting factor to any more serious user, but this is a great buy for capturing simple snaps of your friends and the places you visit to share afterwards.
