Purchased to make my E-620 more portable and for a natural perspective.
Well was,nt expecting such great quality this lens has really brought out the E-620 pic quality compared to the standard kit lenses ie 14-42mm and 40-150mm.
Contrast is really good and sharpness is very very good, and the big bonus is the 20cm close focusing.
Excellent lens don,t even think about it, performs great as well as being a pancake lens.

Bought Summer 09 & run this on an E420 for a compact walkabout.
It’s ok, moderately sharp and good for candid snaps open wide. No better combination of price/portability I could identify really on an SLR at the time.
Still probably better practically then Pen/GF1 when current prices considered. 2.8 was as good as it gets, but would love something little faster (or use it on a body with stabiliser for extra stop or 2?)
Little colour shift and tiny bit of edge distortion, but correctable in processing.
Wanted combo instead of a compact, it’s nearly there, but not quite in terms of size etc.
and people still ‘look’ when the SLR points at them, so for voodoo reasons not quite as discrete or flexible as a LX3 or similar..
