We were big fans of Mission’s E82 Elegante system – in fact, I bought a set for myself! The 5.1 E82 was a wonderful mix of performance and style, but at £3500 a pop, it wasn’t exactly cheap. The price reflected Mission’s decision to clad the Elegantes in a lavish piano lacquer finish, which looked stunning, but didn’t do anything for performance. In other words, if you produced a similar package clad in vinyl, you would have an excellent sounding system, at a much lower price. So that’s what Mission have just done!

The E3 AV is based on Elegante E82, but features more up-to-date drivers and an improved subwoofer. This is an ultra-stylish, great sounding system, that is well worth its RRP of £1200.
