I had this camera for my birthday. The best camera I have ever had – easy to carry, easy to use & does everything I could possibly want of a camera. This camera does more than a large, heavy bag of 35mm camera, lenses & other bits & pieces I had a few years ago & produces better pictures! The zoom (10X intelligent optical) is amazing for such a small camera. Even on maximum optical plus digital zoom (about 40X), the photos seem to be clear & relatively shake-free without using a tripod (I did an experiment photographing a car about 100 meters away & then zoomed in on the number plate – incredible!). The video quality is also superior to a large digital camcorder that I had a few years ago. I haven’t yet explored all the possibilities with the various settings as the camera produces superb photos every time in the auto mode. Not cheap, but overall, a brilliant camera!
