Excellent player with super sharp images both on my plasma and projector. Its not 5 stars due to one drawback. It would not play one Blueray disc we got from lovefilm. I updated the firmware which was very easy to do but still would not play! Bigger surprise yet was that a basic Samsung BD player I have for the bedroom did play it! The PQLS (syncs timers so that there is no mismatch between dialogue and picture) for those with home cinema and Pioneer amp works very well. My old amp did suffer from this depending on the dvd and was difficult to calibrate so this is great for those with home cinema. If you’re looking for just a good basic BD player…then i’d look to Samsung. Some of their basic players have amazing picture and internet connectivity for a fraction of the price!
