I bought this as I have read a lot of reviews on this product and I couldn’t find a bad word written about it. The upscalling of normal DVD’s is fantastic I can’t believe the picture quality of my old DVD’s. The only down side is that it’s a bit limited on the playback formats. Wi-Fi dongle included so you don’t have to hard wire it into your wireless network. I read 1 review which said this was difficult to set up. I did it in about 5 minutes if you know all your network settings. The load speed on this machine for blu-ray disks is staggering. Overall I think this is a great purchase, there are obviously other better machines out there but you can get this one delivered now for £199.00. I found it easy to use and set up and I think it’s a great bit of kit especially when connected up to my Samsung TV.

I’d waited quite a while to buy a blu-ray player, as they were quite expensive and many were notoriously slow to load and play discs. The specification and reviews for this player were all encouraging and quite accurate, where it has lived up to my expectations.
The player is fast at loading DVD or blu-ray discs and playing them.
Picture quality very good, both for DVD upscaling and blu-ray playing.
I had read the player does not remember where it is if stopped and started during play back, that’s not been my experience of DVD or blu-ray.
The play back of DVD and blu-ray does differ, in some regards it like 2 players, with DVDs play as normal with their disc menu and blu-ray with the pop up menu.
The latest firmware update adds youtube via the included Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet.
The play back of video via USB memory worked well.
I have not tried to play files from a PC, which is also one of it’s extra features.
The touch controls are on the top, which while stylish, may be a problem if stacking the unit or limited space above.
A very nice blu-ray player, excellent value at around £200, it works very well, with good practical extra features that many will be able to take advantage off.

When I started to notice that my DVD player was starting to fail on me, I began to search for a new system that I could replace it with, but as Blu-Ray is the new king of the hill of the moving image, the option was clear. Blu-Ray.
After careful consideration, I came across this, the Samsung BD-P3600. It had everything that I needed from a movie disc player, it could play DVDs as well as Blu-Ray, with upscaling, Wi-Fi connection, HDMI connection and best of all, it had 7.1 surround sound capabilities, a feature very rare in many Blu-Ray players.
Pros:
Lots of ‘em, HDMI connection, Wi-Fi that can let you connect to any PC in the area with a wireless connection, plays CDs, 7.1 Surround Sound, a sleak design that fits well under any TV unit, and many other cool features, plus, it’s at a decent price.
Cons:
Very few but slightly annoying, the remote control response is sluggish, a theme that I have come across with other Samsung DVD and TV products, no ‘Last Memory’ feature, though will remember the place you watched up to of the disc inside, but will not remain if you eject the disc from the machine. Doesn’t come with a HDMI cable, which one would have thought would have been a standard includement, also, you have to buy the sound system separate which is a nightmare and even more expensive than the player itself.
Overall, the best Blu-Ray player I have found, off, or online, but it’s not perfect, though I would recommend anyone to buy this outright, as I woudn’t have any other!
